Have we found the new Cafu? - Forum Discussion
Stretford-End says:
Rafael is going to be some player. A lot was made of the two twins when signed at the end of the 2005/06 season but Rafael especially has looked really good in the last two games. So am I getting a little ahead of myself or is his extreme fitness levels and lung bursting runs forward into space reminiscent of the Brazilian legend?

I dunno about the new Cafu but certainly we have a real, real, real (yes I did the x3 thing) prospect on our hands.
At such a young age a major quality in a young player is the confidence in his own ability to play to his talents and such, I believe after his 45 against Juve that I am convinced enough for Rafael to play a substantial amount of PL action this season.
It's frightening that Fabio is supposed to be the more talented one!!
A major plus is the presence of Possebon and Anderson in the set-up, too. I'm sure I can't have been the only one to note the assurance of Possebon. If the worst this season gives us is a season of Rafael, Fabio and Possebon in the reserves, with a handful of Cup appearances, with the idea being a 09/10 first team rotation, then that is amazing progress.
